Dannevirke South School SOS
Committee welcomes you and your family to our school. As you are part of the
school you are part of the SOS Association, and welcome to attend
any of our monthly meetings.
The purpose of the SOS is to improve
the opportunities of our children by raising money to purchase equipment
needed in teaching. Although the Ministry of Education provides the
essentials to run the school they do not provide all that is needed. We see
huge benefits from the additional equipment provided for our children.
Our fundraising is done in many forms –
raffles, running the canteen, cake stalls, book fairs, sausage sizzles,
recycling cans and printer cartridges and the biggest of events for us, the
gala. We will look at any form of fundraising idea and are always looking
for new and used ones.
If you think you would like to be involved
with the SOS or may have an idea to contribute or would like to
just help with one or two things we are doing, then we are looking forward
to seeing you at our monthly meetings held at 7.00 pm on every second Monday
of each month in the staff room.
