Dear Parents & Caregivers

We are now into Week 3 of Term 1. All the children and teachers are settled into their classrooms. Thank you for buying their stationery quickly and sending your children to school in the correct uniform. My thanks also to the parents who have removed the ‘hair colour’ from their children’s hair. It is good to see you setting an example to your children and following our school rules.

Our school council is beginning to learn their roll as leaders in our school. They will have regular meetings with the Principal to air theirs and their colleagues views about the things they would like to see happen at South school.

ELECTIONS
Board of Trustees elections are coming up fast. Election day is Friday 7th May. Now is the time to give consideration to the important question of who you would like to see as parent representatives on the board that runs South School. Perhaps you would like to stand or know someone who would be a good candidate. It is time to talk about this important task. Most of the current board will be standing down because their children have left South School. If you are interested in becoming a Board member come to an information evening on Wednesday 31st March at 5.30 pm in the Staffroom. Thank you.
