Written Reporting:

* Parents will receive a written report at mid year (Literacy and Numeracy) and end of year. (All subject areas.)
* Home Sample books are also sent home at these times with examples of students work in a range of curriculum areas.

Interviews:

* Parent or teacher requested interviews are held in terms one and four. They are intended to provide an opportunity for both parties to discuss specific concerns.
* Formal parent interviews are held at the end of term two. These follow the presentation of written reports and home sample books.
* Informal Interviews - Parents are encouraged to meet with teachers whenever they need to during the year. To avoid clashes of meeting times etc, it is helpful to staff if appointments are made prior to visits.

DANNEVIRKE SOUTH SCHOOL

The regulation uniform is compulsory from May 2nd 2005 but there will be a phase in period to allow current students to make the best use of existing uniforms.  The phase in period will expire on Day 1 2007 when every student must be in full uniform.  All new enrolments will be required to purchase the uniform from May 2nd this year.

Although we have divided the uniform description into summer and winter, there is not compulsion to wear these items during specific terms..  Parents will be free to select from the lists any combination you like to reflect the weather at the time.
