Level 4 Lockdown from Midnight 17 August 2021

Hello families/whanau

As you would have just heard New Zealand will move into level 4 lockdown from 11.59pm today.  This means that everyone needs to remain at home and school will be closed for the rest of the week.  There will be nobody at school for the next three days. By working as a team we can contain this new case and help keep us all safe.  Due to the short duration and notice we do not expect children to be learning from home and hope that you can use this lockdown as time to take a breath and connect as a family.  If you would like some learning for your children during this time (as we know some of you may need to work from home) please go to https://learningfromhome.govt.nz/ as there are many great resources there. If you need any help or assistance please email your child’s class teacher or contact either Caroline Transom or Caroline Gyde whose contact numbers are on the website.

We will be in touch as soon as we have more information to share.  Stay safe and warm.  Be kind to each other.

From the Dannevirke South School Team.
