Healthy Active Learning Survey and Bubble Bingo

Dear Whanau

We would be grateful if you could please fill out a short survey regarding Healthy Active Learning.  This will help us to understand how tamariki experience physical activity and Health and PE at kura or school. It also asks about opportunities to be physically active in the community.

Our school is involved in a government wellbeing initiative called Healthy Active Learning. Part of the Child Youth and Wellbeing Strategy, it is now in its third year and in over 900 schools across the motu. To help understand its impact, the Massey University evaluation team is keen to hear about how your tamariki participate in physical activity and healthy eating and drinking at our school and community. Findings will help inform the future of Healthy Active Learning and so your support is greatly appreciated.

They have put together a survey which takes 5-10 minutes and, on completion, puts you in the draw to win a $100 supermarket voucher.

Bubble Bingo is back for 2023!

21 days of little challenges for your household to undertake each day, starting on Monday 6^th March. The challenges do not have to be done in order. After dinner each night, one member from your bubble picks a number between 1 and 21 and that is your activity for the next day.

We have a private Facebook group (search Sport Manawatu Bubble Bingo 2023 or click here) where we encourage you to share photos/videos of your challenges. Sport Manawatu Staff will be uploading their bubble challenges too so you might even get some ideas. If you don’t have Facebook we still want to see your photos! You can email them to me.
